A new player on the block...........
After so many nights of searching for and reading reviews about speakers(Polk's, JBLs, MB Quarts, Focals, ect.).........I FINALLY COMMITTED!
I had been glued to the Pioneer 6902R thread and said to myself......self.....if these 6x9's perform so well, why wouldn't the 6.5's/6.75's? So I began my bargain shopping and found a set for 59.99 shipped. When they arrived I had to do my initial visual assessment. These things are pretty beefy and well put together. I was pretty surprised at the cone construction as well. If you've never bothered looking at them here are the specs for the Pioneer TS-D1602R 2-way speakers:
The next day I dove in head first. They fit very well in the fairing even with three 12x12 sheets of polyfill on each speaker. I'm running the SS PN 520.4D with the gains set at the half way point and these things scream like a ****!! I'm very happy with the choice I made. And if I blow them, I'm not out of a hundred + dollars like I would be if I went the route I was planning before. I got 2 Pioneer 6902R's on the way for my saddle bags and I'm sure I'll have more than adequate sound for my scoot.
My advice to any newbie installing audio on your bike...............FOLLOW ULTRA'S STICKY STEP BY MUTHAF!@KIN STEP!!!! It will save you so much grief. Lol

Pt. two.....
I got the Pioneer TS-D6902's I and went to work. I pretty much mirrored GlacierPearls set up minus 2 6x9's. I wanted to retain some bag space so one set was all I wanted to commit to.
Once I got all the tools required it was pretty damn easy. That 90 degree drill bit attatchment was a GOD SEND. After getting everything wired up and tuned to my listening preference I can't fing any complaints. This audio combination is ****!!
Head Unit - Sony DSX-210X 148.00 (head unit kit incl from Crutchfield)
Amp - Sound Stream PN 4.520D 117.00 from Amazon
Pioneer - TS-D1607r Front 59.00 from Amazon
Pioneer - TS-D6902r Rear 71.00 from Amazon
Dragonfly 5.25 to 6.5 speaker adapters 32.00 from eBay
Tsunami amp 10ga amp install kit 17.00 from eBay
Much thanks to UltraNuts and GlacierPearl for all the info provided. Fellow forum members.....you can't go wrong listening to these guys.
