Well, no such bracket exists and you are correct. WTH would HD say this works and then not make the right parts? Just got back from the dealer, I'll give the guy credit he did look at a bunch of options but nothing would work. So the only thing I can think of is to make your own bracket OR if they make a "hidden CB antenna" like they have for the radio....add the tour pack and use that antenna.

I have the hand controls and module installed and cable already run, so it's custom bracket time for me. The comm cable is due to be delivered tomorrow.

OK, going to make my own antenna bracket. Started by taking the radio antenna bracket off and tracing it, then fitting it to the other side. First picture is the bracket, second picture is the tracing reversed.

edit: added picture of CB showing on radio screen.

I would like the CB module added to use for bike-to-bike comms. The techs at the dealership don't think the mod can be added to the 4.3 model radio, but they also said this stuff is so new they don't have all the answers. The only option they gave me is to upgrade to the 6.5 model radio and add the cb module - they quoted the parts and labor to be about $2400. I don't want to spend that much just to get CB functionality. Do any of you on the forum know if the cb module can be added to the 4.3 radio?

do you have a part number for this headset plug?

OK, here's the next dilemma.

The comm cable, part# 69200865 arrived today and of course the directions completely suck. The directions state:

2. Remove seal pin from cavity 12 of P&A connector [280](2).
3. Install the pin end of the ground wire into cavity 12 of P&A connector [280].

edit: OK, got a magnifying glass and saw that where the black wire is, that is cavity 12. So now the question is do I remove the black wire, not install it at all? I don't believe this can be pushed in there in addition to the existing black wire.

First picture is the plug showing the black wire in cavity 12. Second picture is the ground plug you are supposed to put there.

Hi Scott....you could splice it onto the black wire ...so you only have one pin going into '12'.....but this of course assumes that both wires are meant to connect with 12.................o

That's the problem, the HD directions suck so I'm not sure if it could be spliced or not. Ugh, off to find a decent HD mechanic I guess. I think I'll go get the new service manual as well.

I'm going to check a couple local places this week to see how much it would cost to make up a few antenna brackets if anyone is interested as well.
