i had the gain set way up on my amp sounding good then i got a burning smell at 70 mph i shut the radio down got home adjusted the gain down . take bike out next day burning smell again then the amp started cutting out .. so im guessing i smoked the amp..when i hook new amp up i want to double check everything ,the positive and negative out of factory radio ??????i had no RCA connectors

UltraNutZ has step-by-step instructions for the RF PBR300x2 in a "Sticky" at the top of the Audio Forum for various models. I think the instructions are for the RF paired with Polk MM651 speakers, but you can substitute any speaker. Just follow the instructions and you will be good too go. I would suggest that you set the amp to HP with freq between 60-80hz and there is no need for RCA connectors.

Here is a diagram that shows the factory wire colors and which are positive and negative. This diagram is for wiring a 4ch Soundstream amp, so for the RF, you'll only be concerned with the front channels or left side of the pic.
