Vox problem
Problem with VOX on 2005 ultra. Last 8 years no problems, same headsets, in same helmets, no changes to equipment. Excessive VOX activation from what has been normal. Tried different VOX settings from 8 up to 14. Same problem. Worst case is when listening to weather channel, a little better listening to CD or radio, a little better listening to MP3 on “AUX” audio input. No difference with VOX excessive activation at idle or 60 MPH. Can the problem be in the wiring to the helmets or in the helmets, and is there any way to isolate the problem? Normal conversations work as expected, by lowering the volume of the radio during the conversation. Turning off the intercom with both helmets plugged in stops all VOX interruptions to speakers and helmets and plays audio perfectly.

Bill ,,,,,,,,
that does not sound good ,,,,,,,, I it was a headset or wiring problem I would expect it would be more difficult to VOX the system,,,, not easier ,,,,,,
might want to send the radio unit to Radio Sound Inc, Louisville KY for an update ,,,,,
