As much as has been written about the Polk speakers blowing around here, it seems obvious that they basically are POS's. They do sound fine when they are working but they don't seem to work too long. UltraNutz has had good luck with his but I can't say much good about them after having gone through two pair in ~ 3 months. I had my avc turned off and the gains for my ss nano set around 11:30 with AP. I just ordered a set of Biketronics 7.1's today and hopefully my outer fairing can stay on for more than a couple of weeks.

Works for me. I filed a disc up with songs I put through that program and I don't have to adjust the volume.

Different recordings have different sound levels and quality and this had been the same since the good old days of the vinyl up till now.despite all the digital technology we have available I don't quite think you'd be able to normalize all that much.at least for now.besides,it's not a good thing to keep the volume level of any system precariously high.there should always be a 20% reserve or at least that's what I practice.
