Default Which speaker lids?

Im sure this has been asked somewhere on here already but i cant find it at the moment so sorry if it has.

Im after some additional tunes on my 95 Road king, I have a memphis shades fairing with the hogtunes setup for when im doing long journeys and love it, can hear clearly at motorway speeds etc etc. Trouble is i dont have the fairing fitted unless im doing motorway miles and miss the tunes, so what i want is something thats there all the time and will compliment the fairing set up when i have it on, hence a set of bag speakers, I have ruled out something on the bars as it will be in the way when i stick the fairing on, i dont run front crash bars so lowers etc are out of the question.

I have looked at the Kuryakyn set up and the Hogtunes set up and at the moment am leaning towards the Hogtines because of the angle of the speakers and the overall look of them, what else should i look at, i specifically want something that i will here when the fairing is off so directed at the rider (dont do passengers)

Thanks All

when you say hogtunes setup, can you elaborate a little more please? do you have a head unit, amp, and speakers?

Sorry, its the Hogtunes/Memphis shades setup with 2 4.25" speakers and a 50 watt amp all in a single pod with a seperate volume control unit. MP3/headphone jack input only.

ah ok gotcha now.

well here's what I'd do if in your shoes.

Hogtunes lids (call Pez directly instead of ordering online)
Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9s
Soundstream PN2.350D
"y" off your inputs to your existing amp and run to rear and put SS amp in saddlebag. This thing is really small and packs one helluva punch and is a great amp to drive those Pioneer speakers with.

you'll need battery, ground, accessory power to turn amp on and off in your saddlebag

thanks for the input, much appreciated. Are the pioneer speakers that much better than the ones in the complete hogtunes kit? would the complete kit with the SS amp work?

Im in the UK so getting the complete kit from a uk Indy and then the SS amp from the states works out a whole lot cheaper as i cant get the Pioneer speakers in the UK (as far as i can see)

cheers

exact same specs as the TS-D6902R so it must be the EU version.

On a side note, I don't know anything about the Hogtunes 6x9 speakers but if they're anything like the 5.25" and 6.5" speakers I'd stay away from them.

if you can't find the SS anywhere, go with the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x2

According to what I'm find on the web, there used to be a Soundstream dealer in Bolton.

I'm seeing that if you contact these guys @ www.caraudiosecurity.com they will order Soundstream stuff for you.
