Default 5x7 speakers for bag lids

I´m planning on installing a set of speakers on my '13 Street Glide and I have some doubts.

1.- If I buy the HD saddlebag speaker lids will any 5x7 speaker fit?

2.- Do I have any other option on the lids other than Harley?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

absolutely. check out the Biketronics BT479 kit. pretty impressed with them.. very defined mids and highs, lots of power handling capability, and good low end.

if you're referring the lids themselves, me personally I like them but you limit yourself on how to properly put a 6x9 back there using the only kit I'm aware of from Biketronics. Hogtunes just came out with a lid very similar to the HD lid but with drain slots made into the lids and those you can put any 6x9 you want in it without adapters. I'm not familiar with the hogtunes 6x9s

Default Hogtunes

The Hogtunes lids look just fine for me, I'll think I will go that way. Now on the speaker side, what can you recommend in 6x9? I already have Polks on the fairing with a 300w Rockford Fosgate amp.

I'm planning on using the same amp for the saddlebag speakers.

Thanks again!

I'm bacccccccck! I'm thinking of getting some dual 6x9 speaker lids now. Yes, I know it won't matter at speed but its more for cruising around town. What 6x9 has the best bass response? I don't want to add subs but I'd like some thumps lol.

Uhhh, hell ya these are loud and the bass hits. I bought 4 of them and the Cycle Sounds Double Up lids. MUWAHAHA...."

If you live in a sunny state or never ride in the rain coax lid speakers are fine. If you ever get caught in a deluge like we get here in Fl the water will seep past the coax tweeter mount and short out the voice coil, get the inside of the bag wet, or both!
