the reason I'm asking you to do this is the headunit speaker outputs are not connected to the dash switch. The speaker switch gets it's output from the internal outputs of the headunit PRIOR to going into the internal amp.

UN: I tried the rear left and right directly from the HU and didn't get squat. If you recall I had no sound out of the right rear before; I wonder if the outputs finally took a dump too. Your thoughts?

i think you just answered your own question. :-)

sounds like your outputs on the head unit went south. This would explain why you still have audio on your headsets. Headsets are tied into the audio outputs at the preamp stage meaning they're not amplified by the internal radio at all.

Looks like I'll be sending it to Iron Cross when I get back from the 110th. Leaving Tuesday and not enough time or extra loot.

Thanks Todd

When I start the bike the radio starts. When I start the bike the speakers work. When I turn off the bike and turn it back on the speakers don't work. Unplug the radio and then plug Iit back in the radio works, like its backfeeding.
Here is my problem, I get no sound out of my my speakers(Not all the time), this problem starts when I turn the engine off then on, I get a loud roar out of my speakers.
When I unplug the radio, then plug it back in,it seems to reset everything and the radio works, but I can't go down the street without a fairing on my bike.
I've done the following, Unplugged the Ipod connection.
Unplugged all the wiring from the ignition switches.
took the ground off the SoundStream D520
checked power in the wiring harness that goes to the radio.
But as soon as I start the engine, then turn it off the light on the ignition panel for the radio stays on for a few moments, when the light goes off, and I hear a small pop, I have to reset the radio, by unplugging it, then plugging it back in.
When I don't hear a little pop, the radio speakers will play, when I turn

Yes,this is a new problem, I think I might have it narrowed to the triple throw speaker switch on the dash, I'm replacing it today.
Also when I turn the radio off, I get a horrible roar out of my rear speakers.
