Default Wiring Harness (69200106) Installation

I have a 2013 ElectraGlide Classic. I purchased the Boom Audio Rear Speaker Kit (76000021) and the Radio Wire Harness (69200106). I have installed the speakers, ran the harness, Inserted the four wires into the 23-way connector. I can not figure out two things.

1. The step that says terminate the yellow/violet and yellow/orange wire into cavity 4 and 5 of the 6-way connector. I don't see a yellow/violet and yellow/orange wire accept in the harness on the 69200106.

2. What do I do with the four wires that I removed from the 23-way connector. Now that they have been removed, I can not adjust the volume.
One wire is Grey w/Green Stripe, Brown w/Black Stripe, Purple w/Grey Stripe, and Green w/Blue Stripe.

Thanks for your help.

created your own thread for this.

i don't see where the kit 76000021 calls for the additional purchase of the 69200106 harness but instead calls for part number 70169-06.

That's what the dealer told me I needed when I purchased the speakers.

Do you happen to know which holes those 4 wires go back into so I can make put it back to original? The pins are 8,15,22, and 23. Thanks

i am in a similar situation.... i have a 2012 Street Glide and just added the tour pak with pod speakers. All i want to do is hook up rear speakers so they work, (NO Amp).... I bought wiring harness 69200022 and 69200106. Have NOT installed the four wires into the 23plug connector as i googled it and seen the wires they said to remove were for the controls in the handlebars.... not sure what my next step is.... UltraNutZ would like to have you contact me and point me in right direction. Thanks,

you don't remove anything out of the 23 pin connector. The wiring harness you're referring to, if you're not using all the passenger controls, headsets, etc. I wouldn't even fool with it. Get you 4 crimp pins from HD (sorry don't have the part # handy but they'll know what you're talking about at your parts counter. Simply run 2 wires to each pod from the head unit. You will connect them to pins 1,2,24,25 on the 35 pin connector that it currently empty on the back of the radio.

Pin 1 - Right rear +
Pin 2 - Left rear +
Pin 24 - Right rear -
Pin 25 - Left rear -

Hawg Wired also has this nifty little item

Oh! i Figured the rear controls would work with the wiring harnesses i have....what do i do with the 4 bare wires coming out of harness 69200106 and the extra 6pin plug with only 2 wires going into it? Do you have a book like "Harley Audio wiring for Dummies" or anything! lol

ah well that makes all the difference in the world then. If you didn't get a diagram with your harness, then this one should help you determine what goes where.
