Ear Buds
#2
I could never get the stock ear buds from an apple product to fit my ear canal. Don't know, guess I am some kind of freak-eared bastard or something.
I like any kind of quality bud that will fit snugly in the ear canal with a nice soft rubber boot. You get all the sound plus the additional benefit of ear protection from wind noise. So many think hearing damage is due to the loudness of an exhaust...it's the wind man, it's the wind!!

I agree bought some at radio shack for under 10 bucks for another dollar got an extra year warranty..I have bought and tried much more expensive earbuds that did not sound as nice as these..Trust me I only ride with my earbuds in and am a music junkie..

Etyomtic ear buds
I ride a 2002 FXST headers into 3 1/2" Mufflers no baffles. I own Bose earbuds, Etymotic m5 and several under $20.00 pair of ear buds. The Etymotics m5 provides awesome sound that I can listen to at a lower level and a lot of the exhaust noise is muffled. I ride about 2500 miles a month, yup my job affords me that much road time, and the in ear etymotic m5's help knock down a lot of noise and again, provide very good sound.
