Default Better Speakers for my 13 street Glide needed

I am looking to upgrade the speakers on my 2013 Street Glide. The stock speakers are ok but I would like a little better. I am not looking to get a 300.00 set of speakers or a 400 amp. Just a better set that does not distort at 1\2 volume.. I have the Factory stereo.... I believe it has 2 ohm speakers.. Any suggestions or sellers that have something I can buy let me know.

Polk Audio MM651. DO NOT buy the MM651UM version.

you will also need a set of 6.5" adapter rings from Dragonfly Cycle Concepts.

How does the 6.5" speaker actually mount/install behind the 4" or 4.5" existing hole in the dash, I get that you need adapter ring, but do you have any pictures or anything to help me understand this?? maybe a link? I have been wondering about this for a bit and saw your post here so thought I would aks.

Hope my question makes since, its just hard for me to understand what the gain is from the larger speaker if its still sound coming through the existing smaller hole.... thanks for any feedback

sound doesn't care whether it's coming out of a 10" hole or a 4" hole, it's going to come through.

Take a look at the pic below. This is the DragonFly adapter ring. You'll see the 3 inner holes that attach to your inner fairing. The 8 holes on the outer ring is where your speakers and horizontal fairing brace will attach. You can see the beveled/tapered design.

Thanks, was worried that to upgrade size I would need to modify/cut the inner fairing, makes sense now and I appreciate you straightening me up on this

I have a 13 SG with J&M speakers installed. I also have the amp that mounts right above the radio. They sound amazing and I can only go about halfway before I'm deaf, even at 80MPH.... yes they are that loud.

thanks for the pics.. I was also worried about having to cut out the fairing. Can I just upgrade the speakers and then the amp later or does it need to be done all at the same time?
