Default Is Polyfil and a dampener (Dynamat J&M Pads) both required?

Hi,

waiting on my Titan II's 7.1's to get in and was curious.. I already have the polyfil... should I also get some dynamat or J&M foam as well for the faring? (Batwing)

Thanks!

There is no point in both.

use the polyfil.. the foam does something totally different and no where near as effective as polyfil.

Ditto. I had the J&M Foam liner for the batwing. Far as I could tell all it did was waste my money, and reduce the space for the wiring harnesses inside the fairing. The only noticeable difference came when I added the polyfill as recommended by Ultra. Dynamat IMHO is a complete waste of money. A friend put that heavy crap in and there was no difference in sound quality that we could tell.

I am one that was suckered into the J&M foam liner. I agree with the waste of money and taking up space for the wiring. My question is this: should I try to remove it now and use only the polyfill or will it be ok to leave it along with the polyfill?

I was afraid someone would say that. That is a lot of sticky backing to remove. One of those things that you know is probably the right thing to do but you just don't wanna
