When I first installed mine, I wired the left input wire up backwards and it was getting too hot to touch in just 10 min. Once I reversed the polarity it runs alot cooler, however, the amp does get super hot still after being on for a hour or so, but it does not cut off. I ran the + power wire and ground all the way back to the battery, have correctly crimped connections with StaKon pliers and connectors, not the generic kind.

I will have to give that another look, but I was pretty careful about the install....ya never know.
