IMO,..........No need for anything more than a 2 way in the bags on an Ultra. They are there for the bass. I get all of my highs from the fronts & pods. Agree on the liner, etc...... I noticed a difference after I had an upholstery shop carpet my bags.

Aramid Fiber is similar in nature to Kevlar. Armid Fiber bags are sold all over the world for kayakers and canooers.

Marine speakers suck... all there is to it. They don't have no where near the sound quality of a normal speaker. Polk speakers are all marine certified however with that said, they are just as suspectible to water intrusion as any other speaker is. NONE are waterproof, period.
These look promising, they say they are waterproof and I believe they might be. One thing for sure, no speaker with a coax mounted tweeter stalk will stand up to Florida rain, it will take a solid speaker and a bridge mounted tweeter.

Yeah those are pretty nice lids.. I probably would have ordered these had they been available prior to my CVO purchase...

I just ordered the Lids from Direct Cycle Parts and the Pioneer 6x9's from Amazon. Also ordered CVO style bag lowers on Ebay. I got rear ended last week and needed a new right lower........so
