I'm fairly new to this audio thing, and i'm reading about people needing adaptor rings.
I have a Deadcenter cycles fairing with Polk db651 speakers fitted and I'm going to change them for MM651 speakers, will I need these ''Adaptor rings''

No sir you don't need adapter rings. These are only for stock fairings where the speakers mount from the rear. Your speakers will drop into the front of the fairing.
The adapter rings are mainly for the OE farings (batwing and shark nose) as they have 5 1/4 inch holes, so you either get another 5 1/4 or you use a 5 1/4 to 6 1/2 inch (or 7.1/7.25 depending on who your going with) adapter.
So adapter rings are needed for OEM inner fairings because they bolt from the rear? On lower fairings they bolt from the front? So adapter rings won't be needed on lowers?
