Default Soundstream PN4.520D amp

Just got my amp in today. Will hook it up this evening. I have a couple of questions. Currently running 3 pairs if Polk Audio DBX 6.5 speakers, two in the front fairing and 2 in each saddlebag lid on my streetglide. I have the rear speakers parallel together. On the amp, you have three crossover selections, 80Hz for high pass, 80Hz for low pass, and full range. Which one do I select? Thanks for the help...

i would leave the crossovers in the F position and set your gains based off the sticky at the top of the audio forum. If you're not happy with it after setting gains, then flip the switch to HP and you're done.

Great, looking forward to see how it sounds. I have been reading all the forums, everyone speaks highly about the SS amp. I am hoping it will sound good. Do you recommend subs in place of one of the pairs of Polk Audios. I am looking for a little more bass. Thanks

if you're looking for a little more bass, check out the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1" fairing speaker. With that and a little polyfil wrapped around it, you should achieve your desired results.

Based on all I've read, I just ordered that SS PN4.520D amp and 4 MM651's for my 2011 Ultra. Thanks to all of you, especially UltraNutz, for the valuable information on the upgrade possibilities available. Hopefully, I'll get the equipment next week and install it next weekend. I do have a question. I see a lot of posts referring to polyfil. What is it and where can I buy some? Looking forward to getting the install behind me but want to ensure I have all bases covered before I start.

Okay, now a poly fil roll like that how do you install it, do you attach it to the inside of your fairing?

I didn't use foam, but bought a roll of Polyfil Batting (the stuff used inside of quilts). That's probably not the exact product I found, but something similar for about $5 at Wal-Mart.
