Default Setting gain with Sony dsx-210x

I have installed the Nutz special and I am ready to set the gains. I have sound and FM reception. Going to be using a digital meter. On this radio do I just turn off the equalization and bass boost instead of flat lining everything before I set gains?

Thanks Nutz that is all I needed to know.

In addition to what Nutz has listed for the special a Sony DSX-210x radio with a Bike Tronics BT1002 install kit. No CB or Headset intercom after this option.

No concerns with moisture and that amp? Stray cat, do you have problems with that receiver vs Water?

I just installed this and getting ready to set the gains on the sound stream amp. Will have on the road shortly.

To answer your question Nutz has had the Sony radio one step up from mine the 310 on the road for some time now with out any problems. Bike Tronics install kit has a plastic sheet that covers the top of the radio. There is also a cover that fits over the face of the radio from BT.

Just use the search feature after you log on. Just copy and paste these into the search window "Sony DSX" and "Nutz Special". Kind of numbing to read it all. Everybody is also willing to answer questions here.
