don't forget the speaker adapters you'll need for the fairing. You can get them from Dragonfly Cycle Concepts.
Look at the top of the audio forum, there are step by step instructions.

Is the stock 18 gauge wire good enough to wire this amp with?

for the speakers yes. for power, no. you need to run 10ga power and ground for this amp

Got the install kit for power. Was wondering from the hk unit to amp.

absolutely fine for all speaker wires whether input or output.
