Fairing speakers wired to front outputs
Lower speakers wired to rear outputs

This amp is 2 ohm stable. Wiring (2) 2.7 ohm speakers in parallel brings the impedance load down to a 1.35 ohm load and that amp will clip on you.

How about wiring them in series? Granted, it makes it a 5.4 ohm load.....

You would never generate enough power to hear them !!

When you have 4 channels on the amp, and 4 speakers to hook up,................it doesn't get any easier.

I'm kinda curious what you're trying to accomplish here.

Are you trying to use a 2 channel amp to drive 4 speakers?

If so then I'll go a different route in my recommendation for speakers. That would be either a set of BT 7.1" or 6.5" in the fairing and a set of 6.5" in the lowers. These are both 4 ohm speakers so in this case you would wire them in parallel on each side to create a 2 ohm load for something like the PBR300x2 amp.

Going back to the original post, he already has the BT speakers:

So,........Nutz recommends the RF PBR 300/2 & running in parallel........should sound good !!

well there were 2 others asking similar questions hence the reason threads get confusing if someone doesn't create their own thread to ask questions.

I just want to say thanks for all this info here, so with this setup- 4 speaker
MM651 and SS PN4.520D 2 in bat wing and 2 in lowers you recommend using 4 of the mm651's and what head unit would you recommend or would the stock unit be fine ? thanks I am wanting to upgrade here soon

the stock head unit will work perfectly fine if you don't want to replace it. Replacing it with something aftermarket will definitely improve the sound quality of the system overall. If you do change it, you'll need a handlebar control kit from either hawg-wired or biketronics. The Sony head unit seem to be more compatible with both of the above devices and the biketronics device is the only one that provides for AVC (automatic volume control) as the stock head unit has.
