Default Audio system upgrade

Hello HD Forum Members,

Looking for advice on stock audio upgrade 2002 Electra Glide Classic, here is what I have in mind for utilizing a two speaker set up only with no further speaker mods in the future.

1. Sony CDX-GT710HD head unit ( Can use usb jump drive to play numerous music selections).

2, PBR 300 x2 Amp

3. Polk MM651 marine speakers wrapped in polyfil.

4. Dragonfly or Arc audio speaker adapters.

5. Radio install mounting kit (Hawg wired or Biketronics)

6. Scott Ezell mounting bracket for the amp

7. The Sony remote will be used to operate the system.

You will enjoy this set up but would be willing to bet you will look to add to this 3-6 monthsd later.

If you are correct, what other audio set up would leave me room for future mods?

Question Front fairing speakers

Hello HD Forum,

Can the Polk mm6501UM speakers be used as a replacement for the front fairing speakers on a Electra Glide Classic powered by a PBR 300 x 2 amp, both are 4 ohm set ups right? I am only trying to have a two speaker setup versus a four speaker setup. Was considering the Polk mm651 speakers but they are rated at 2.7 ohms, and don't know if they are compatible with this setup.

GlacierPearl which speakers are you refering to that will work great? The MM6501's or the MM651? How will the MM6501's work with the Soundstream amp in just a 2 speaker setup?

If you have no intentions of upgrading to a 4 speaker set up, the PBR 300/2 is your best choice !
