zxport123 - you've received a lot of good info to your questions and yet you are still all over the place w/ random q's and changing goals.
What are you trying to do? 2,4, or 6 speakers? 2 and 4 are easy - MM651's and SS 4ch. 6 speakers you need 4 ohm in the front in parallel on the front channel, and whatever you want in the rear (6.5's in tourpack, or 6x9 in lids).
simple.
HU and Biketronics or Hawg Wired adapter for handlebar controls. I'd not get a new HU without bluetooth and pandora functionality. my 02.
Not intending to be rude, but just pick one! And if you normally have trouble picking something - go to a shop and have it installed. Picking one and putting money on the table makes it tough to keep changing your mind. Simplifies it a lot!
ADHD and car/bike audio don't mix too well. Might be worth spending a bit to get it done right. Then ride and enjoy the tunes!

I agree. Even with the setup I have now which is a non-recommended impedance load at the rear channels of the 4.520D, I find myself wanting to drive those 6x9s so going to add the 300x2 to the 6x9s only.

I have been reading and reading. I'm looking at doing the MM651 in the fairing and later doing 6x9 in the speaker lids, can I get away with the SS 4.520d and run both? I plan on later on doing a diff head unit. Would I be better off using 2 amps? but can both be in fairing?
Another thing is if I go with an aftermarket HU. Does the rain hurt it if you get caught out?

HU and rain - even the "marine" HU's are mostly marketing. When you get a mount kit - get the splash guard w/ it. Will work for most showers - a downpour or washing your bike - just be careful. Downpour - as long as you are moving and it's not really drenching it you should be ok, or pull over to let it pass if you can.
