Default FLHX Radio Dead. No lights No sound

It's my fathers bike. The radio is just completely dead. It has a seperate factory amp. When you turn on the bike you can hear the amp click on. Checked side fuses, reseated plugs behind radio. Nada.

Just get a new radio?

there are multiple fuses that control this radio.
don't look at them, check them with a test light or DMM
Fuse # 4
Fuse #2
Fuse # 20

also look below the radio on the triple tree itself. there is a ground wire that controls just about everything in the fairing.

check the following pin #s on the connector at the back of the radio. Pull the connector off the radio and test the pins. each is numbered (albeit really small)

10, 20 should be hot all the time (battery)
12 should be hot only with ignition or accessory
11, 19 should be ground.
