Having not heard both i can't say for sure of course. I've read here that the SS had a better low end sound, and thought this may be part of it? Less "punch" from the RF at roughly equivalent RMS and same speakers setup?

True or not? if not, i know the 300x2 is available and a simple fit/install. Just don't want to limit an already limited setup w/ less "bump". Which i like and know is tough to get on a bike... unless you are glacierpearl.

I find that the SS has a better "punch" yes.. but are you willing to sacrifice the FM for it?

I've reached the point where I'm just gonna add a second 300x2 for my fairing lowers. They should both fit under the fairing, no FM issues, and to me that amp sounds good!

In the interest of $$$ am looking at RF 300 and Polk MM651.

Does it matter MM651 vs MM651UM (marine?)

Should have searched a bit more. Looks like the UM grills aren't removable so MM651 it is.

Wish me luck on the install!!!
