Default Mounting a PBR 300X2

I just received my PBR 300x2 amp and Polk MM651 Speakers I won't be able to install these for a week or so and my outer fairing is still on but I was wondering how is the best way to secure the amp under a flhx fairing. I head velcro once but still unsure if this works well.

Thanks

it works great if you get the industrial strength Velcro. You need a screwdriver and pliers to pull that stuff apart!

Forum member Scott Ezzell makes a really nice bracket to mount the RF amp above the HK head unit. I think he make two types, one for just amp and one that allows you to relocate CB,XM,etc. modules under the head unit with amp above. It's a nice piece, very easy to install and allows air to flow around amp and HU. I think it's $60 shipped. Scotts email: ezzell141@comcast.net

I riveted 2 aluminum pieces of flat stock to the amp first. Countersunk the holes for the rivets in the stock, and then into the mounting holes on the pbr...Industrial velcro on the flat stock and headunit. More than necessary really, but i had the materials laying around.
