What is it with AVC that people don't like? It's a great feature, but it must be used correctly. My AVC is set at three bars, and works just fine for my purposes. I set my HU volume when at speed for the loudest I would want it, and when I pull up to a red light the volume drops so my eardrums aren't blasted out, perfect. When I get moving again the volume rises until it's back to where I set it at speed. If someone foolishly set their AVC at max and cranked their tunes to max in the driveway then yes, you might be in for a surprise when you hit 70mph, as your speakers self-destruct!
