Default MM 651s with Alpine KTP 445U ok

I replaced my RF 300 2 with a Alpine KTP after the RF blew up

I have been running the KTP with a set of Infinitys but I think magnets are too heavy

Is it ok to run the Alpine KTP 445u with only 2 Polk MM651s in the fairing?

MMs are 2.7 ohms

Thanks

You traded a Cadillac for a Volkswagon !!

Magnets too heavy for what ??

Sounds like you had a nice set-up with the PBR 2 channel & the Infinity speakers..

Is the amp still under warranty ???

I agree about the speakers. Not sure what you mean about to heavy. Just because they are heavy does not mean they are good. Kenwood X series and Alpine R, X series used crushed magnets and they are smaller but sound amazing.
However the small alpine amp is great. I have one and think it is great for my application.

update

I have been running the MMs with the Alpine (set on 2 channel) and it really sounds great.
Not as powerful as the Fosgate but I have No trouble hearing it over the true duals and rineharts
They say you can bridge the KTP but i have not done that
The polk MM with 45 watts sound dam good.

I have a question - I will add the lowers with speakers this fall.

Can I add 2 more MMs to the other 2 channels ?
4 channels at 2 ohms ok?

that little amp is very nice small and light.

They did send me a new PB300 2
I wasnt expecting that and it came after 4 weeks
But its still sealed in box
havent had a reason to swap out the alpine

As far as infinitys being Heavy ...I have a stripped out screw on one off my speakers which I attribute to that or my overtightening

you can't bridge that amp at a 2 ohm load, only 4 ohm speakers for bridging.

running (4) 2 ohm speakers is perfectly fine with that amp..

great little amp IMO.
