PBR300x2 heat issue?
I'm just finishing up stereo upgrade. B4 I put the fairing back on I'm wondering about possible heat issues with my amp.
My upgrade; a PBR300x2 amp between my stock headunit and 1 pair of Hertz HCX165 (6.5's) speakers in the fairing. Poly-fil around the speakers.
The amp felt warm after playing it in the garage for an hour. I took my H.F. Infrared Thermometer and did a temperature check. Moving it around the amp's case I find it at 150 degrees F. I know amps can run warm but haven't seen any other threads where someone did a check like this.
Has anyone had a heat issue with this amp (PBR300x2)? Thanx.
