Default ipod on 03 electra glide

does anyone know of my best options to interface an ipod to my 03 electra glide stock stereo so I could utilize my hand controls or am I s*** out of luck and if so what do I do next..thanks

yeah anything prior to 06 you're going to be out of luck man.. sorry...

you could find a used 06 later stock radio and put it in then you'll have the ability to use either the Boom Audio iPod interface or the Iron Cross iPod interface.

so how hard is the swap to a hk 06 or newer radio

As Carl pointed out it's simply a swap out.

The only thing different is the newer radios use a digital signal for the AVC (automatic volume control) and the older radios like yours use an analog signal. If you want to retain the AVC, you'll need to send the newer radio to Iron Cross Audio and they'll convert the AVC signal input to analog to work with your specific bike.
