Get a set of MM651 speakers (2.7 ohm) and install those in the fairing. Use the RF amp to drive those speakers (which it will do very nicely) and leave your rear speakers connected to the sony headunit as they are now.

I sure hope so, after reading many a hours on here I already bought everything.

DB651 for front fairing
Cycle sound adapters (they claim fitment for 1996 and up I believe)
DXI400 for rears
PN4.520D amp (still waiting on the amp)

Already have a sony / biktronics module installed

so this is what I have to work with, speakers are from Amazon so should be easy return if they don't fit.

yep you're right.. so you're good to go then. Looks like pre 96 fairings were the ones with 4" stock speakers.
