ill call am and ask them if they know its a 12v powered anteena, im sure they dont

the fuse, if it's powered may or may not affect reception. pretty much anything that's plugged into the antenna port is going to be able to pick up strong stations, it's the weaker stations that it won't do so well with when the antenna is working properly and therefore much worse when it's not working right.

going back to harley next monday, looks like will pull the radio and send it out to be checked,

Where did you get the tweeter-to-gaugehole adapter mounts? I don't see them being sold with the HSK-165XL speaker kit...

you can either use something like a hogtunes or hawg wired tweeter which pops right in without the need for an adapter or you can grab you a set of gauge hole plugs from HD which is what they use on the electra glide standards. Drill them out to size and they snap right in then your tweeter snaps right into them.

I have a CVO so stock speakers were there in those holes. Easy swap for me! 👍🏽
