high to low convertor with arc
I have J&M speakers (7.25) with hog tunes tweeter bar. Recently installed arc audio amp. I read online about using a high to low convertor for better sound quality.
I bought a scoche convertor. The problem is how do you adjust the gain on the convertor AND on the arc audio ? Should I max out the convertor and adjust the arc ? Not sure.Do I even need the convertor. I am by no means an audiophile . Thanks
By the wya the thing is loud as hell.

1. the basic way to adjust these devices is to max out your converter while everything is off then back it off 1/4 turn.
2. now turn your radio and amp on.
3. turn your radio volume to 1/4 volume
4. turn your gains on your amp up to max then back them off 1/4 turn.
5. now play with the radio and make sure it sounds good up to 1/2 volume.
6. turn the radio down all the way and listen for amp noise while the bike is off and while it's running to make sure you're not getting any interference or a ground loop.
7. a little hissing is normal with the volume down all the way but a lot or a buzz, or any other kind of noise is not.
8. using electrical tape, tape thoroughly around each of the RCA connections
9. button her up.
with that arc amp, there will never be a need to crank it up past 1/2 volume
