I am looking at mounting a zumo 660 or 665 GPS to my Road King (Dragonfly Fairing). I have a Kenwood KIV 700 head unit. I was looking at using the headphone jack from the Garmin and run to the aux input on the Kenwood. when required i would switch the source on the kenwood to Aux to hear the gps through the speakers. is this something that would work? not sure if the headphone jack outputs the gps commands or just the MP3 Audio, any comments are appreciated.

the headphone output on the Garmin units relays ALL audio; gps, xm, mp3, etc through the aux inputs on your stereo.

Yes I picked up the unit last weekend, ran a male x male from audio jack to the aux, when I get to a congested area turn the ken wood to aux mode hear every turn from the zumo
