ipod issues
i recently had an ipod connector hardwired to my stock hd stereo. I have an Arc amp and hertz 6 1/2" speakers in the fairing
I recently did a roadtrip to arizona and back. I found that my ipod is no where near as loud or easy to hear as a cd player
In fact i was disappointed in the sound.
I basically had to turn the volume all the way up and the AVC off to even remotely hear it at 80 mph. Granted it was a little windy
With a cd in the player-that i burned- my volume is set at the "L" in volume my AVC is set to two bars and the bass has 2 bars and treble 3 bars. I have no issues hearing the cd at 80mph while wearing earplugs and 3/4 helmet
Anyone have any thoughts, comments or suggestions for better sound when the ipod is connected?

Depending on which iPod you have, you may want to see if it has an upper volume limit that is set to limit output.
On my iPod Nano: Settings;Playback;Volume Limit.
On my Shuffle, it is accessable through the settings menu when hooked via USB cord to iTunes.
Wife has an iPod too, not sure of model but I know it has the same feature. Her's is where I first learned of this feature as I could never get songs to play loud enough for my taste.
