Default Biketronics AVC Setup

Anyone get the AVC working correctly on an '06 and up bike with the biketronics BT1002 module with Sony head unit?

I have a friend with an '05 that has the BT1000 with the same Sony head unit and his works fine....but I can't get the AVC to work on my '09.

This kind of drives me insane...as it's the whole reason I bought the Biketronics kit in the first place. I have added the grounding strap to the back of the radio and disconnected the battery as per troubleshooting steps in the manual....but nothing.

Do you have to be riding down the road to actually set it???? Or just to be able to tell if it varies with speed?

Do the rest of the controls work ,.....ie. volume, CD song toggle, etc ??

If so,.....press in the left switch, ( the one that you flip up & down for volume), and hold it 'in' for 8 seconds, then let go , and notch up about 3 times.

The 8 second depress , resets the system. Biketronics has GEAT customer support, and a LIVE person in tech support picks up the phone !!! They are open til 5PM, PST !!

Good luck !
