I downloaded the firmware upgrade for my stock HK radio. Put it in the player, heard it load and then nothing. I tried to get it out but nothing. I have read all the threads, disconnected the battery, ridden it with the door open and nothing. Any other ideas. Can't I just take the radio out, open it up and take out the CD? I think I have one more month on warranty but I wonder if they will do anything.

 

If you have warranty left, don't mess with HK unit; you might find they'll tell you they won't work on it. Give Iron Cross Audio a call; just google the name. They're actual experts on HK repair.

Also, I wouldn't tell the dealer it's an upgrade CD; just tell them the CD won't eject.

Have you tried the self-diagnostic procedure in the "sticky" at the top of the Touring forum?

I have an appointment at the dealer to probably replace the unit. Still under warranty. Thanks for the advice.
