My bud has an 06 Street Glide, the radio keeps losing sound while riding but stays on, you turn it off and back on it comes back for a bit but then quits again. We have the latest software upgrade, tore the bike apart, checked every connection and ground, unplugged everything and plugged back, it works fine and will play forever sitting still, start riding and it quits sometimes within a block or a couple miles but always stops playing sound, as stated only while in motion.
I'm stumped, any ideas?
Before you all jump on me, yes a also posted in the touring section for more views
I have the same problem on my '07 Ultra, if I turn the speaker switch off and on the radio sounds come back on. I put in a new switch and it still does it. I'm stumped. a friend has the same problem and has spent $600 at the HD dealer and it still does it.

Give us a call when you can and we'll walk you through some troubleshooting. Bit more complicated than a bad solder joint.
Also check to see if any of or all of the fairing/speaker brackets are broken. I started to experience this very problem and discovered that 3 of 4 brackets were indeed broken.
3 of 4? Man did they tell you when you bought your ride that it was a street bike? LOL
