I used to take the cheek pads out of my helmets, cut a recessed space for the speakers and stick them in with velcro. then put the cover back over the cheek pad.

Has anyone had speakers installed in the cheek pads of their Shoei helmet? I have a Chatterbox Xbi2 and the speakers just kill my ears when installed in the space allocated for the ears. I have heard some manufacturers/people have installed the headset speakers into the cheek pads themselves, which would eliminate this problem for me. Is anyone who has done this able to show a picture and provide a step-by-step on how I can do this myself? TIA, <Jim

Yes I know that. Being a watchmaker makes me a little **** about having a proper idea on how to do something before I start. When possible, of course.
