I am sure it will not work with the SE Heavy Breather. I have / had that on my SG with the lower glove boxes and had to purchase another much shorter K & N filter to clear the glove boxes. Speakers stick out farther yet than the glove box.

I know for sure it will NOT fit. I had to go with a SE Ventilator air filter.

gtr86 (Don), you need one of the connectors for each wiring harness from the speakers in the lowers--so a total of two.

Yes, the HD grilles have an emblem that will be over the tweeter.

As for the speaker fitment, can't help, except to suggest you check the dimensions on Hertz website and compare the specs; e.g. the HCX Hertz fit.

Good luck with your project.

Hey bigdunbnoitall (could you think of a shorter way to say what ever it was you wanted to say?)

You are reading my mind. An easy feat, I might add.

Amp with built in crossover.
Channel lows to 6.5" shallow subs in lowers.
Channel mids to midrange in fairing
Channel highs to tweet in fairing (see screaming eagle)

It would be like having a three way stereo speaker on each side of the bike.

I am always open to ideas and suggestions.

That's the plan anyway. Reading these threads to see how others have started their projects and see what works (and what doesn't)

6.5 inch subs are a waste of time. You'll get better sound out of good 6 X 9's........
