Pods, Grilles and Screws Arrived Yesterday.........off to get Black Pearled, need to order speakers

 

Before and After, Paint looks off in pics, was dark in the gee-rage, but it matches perfectly ......Yeah I was stressin'

 

Here's the before and after of the covers and grills, These Infinity Reference Speakers Rock!! Been kicking around the idea of buying some more of these fairing lower grilles and cutting them down for the upper fairing covers and installing the 6.5 Infinitys up there also, seems like it would work since they are kind of square behind the speaker opening when you take the front fairing off.....

I also took my ipod off the Kuryakyn tank door I had and burned an MP3 with all the jams on it, got tired of taking it on and off when stopping, there's a thread on here that talks about it, if you are using iTunes it explains how to convert, you have to remove the artwork to keep them from skipping the songs when advancing.

Those infinity speakers are not water proof are they ?

 

No, they are not; but they work fine.

any thoughts on running a set of kicker 6.5 shallow mount subs in the lowers with the rockford amp,thinking the amp has a crossover why not give it a try?

NOw that the total build is over, minus the lowers (because you can buy new or used) how much was the total price?

As for "total price," the prices of the parts used are included in at least a couple of posts in this thread along with part nos. and vendors. Also, the cost will vary depending on speaker selection, use of HD or aftermarket grilles, HD harnesses, use and choice of amp, etc.

Omitted from the prices is the cost of painting the speaker boxes/housings.

It has proven to be, for me, a worthwhile project.
