If you get that far you wont have thumb controls and the Harley GPS is about worthless. The time it takes to input a destination is stupid. I use Waze or google maps.

I will be happy if I get it to work lol Not worried about the Thumb control and i did look at soundstream and they are $$$ expensive. and 99% of the regular radios are NOT water resistant.
( Not My pic but I'm using it as reference)

You may get it working, but how old are the maps in it? It's a couple hundred bucks (and a hassle) to update the maps. If you just want a radio and something to bluetooth to, and usb... you should be able to get that much going on... then use the touch screen. But anything else and it'll get expensive.

As Cshocker said, that radio for a CanBus system. So just hooking 12 volt and ground is not the answer. The Soundstream radios are also CanBus and Jay from Volunteer Audio has said they will not work on 2013 and older bikes. With the exception of the new line designed for that model year.

I hear you, even if you could get it to power up and get the speakers out figured out, how do you do even the easiest of things, like turn the volume up or down without hand controls (home>settings>volumes every time???)). Not to mention it came off a CVO, and will probably require somebody to "configure" it to this bike... You guys know far more about this stuff than I, but even I know its only a better deal than something else IF it would actually work in the first place, and even then I'd still be asking myself if it was worth messing with.
