Amp and speaker question
Lightbox
I have a 16 road glide ultra. I'm looking to upgrade my stereo. Im looking to add this amp; Diamond Audio HXM1100.6D – HXM 6-Channel 1100W RMS and these speakers; DB Drive WDX6MOTO-CD. Im planning on putting Speakers in the fairing, tour-pak and adding speakers to the lower fairings. One question is will this Amp power the system/speakers? And is there another good quality 6 channel amp or speakers I should consider?

Not really a question about what I was asking initially, but upon doing more research I came across Soundz systems. I hadn't heard of them until yesterday. I heard a sound bite and it and need pretty good. You seem very in to motorcycle stereo systems and wanted to get your opinion.

The Neo has a smaller magnet, but since it's a stronger magnet it does not have to be as large. So, it'll fit in smaller spaces a tad easier. For example, the neo will drop right into the speaker pods, while the originals will require you to dremel down a couple of the ribs on the inside. Some say there is a bit of a sound difference but I think you'd need to analyze it with audio equipment for most people to notice. The GZ's are great for mids and highs, yet they still do a good job of pushing out the lows. With any system, better lows come with separate mids, tweeters and subs.
I wouldn't bother with speakers in the lowers. That's mostly for parking lot listening and competitions, as the sound is lost on the road. Rears are good for passengers and you still get a bit from those as the rider, so I'd concentrate on those. Consider lid speakers, even though I know you're probably thinking you don't want to buy new lids or cut your current ones. One thing to note is round speakers create a truer sound. Although there are 5X7's and 6X9's out thee like crazy, you'll see a lot of 6.5 or 8's in lids. The audio world is a rabbit hole. Once it sucks you in that's it. Little food for thought.
