Few build questions.

Few build questions.
Hey fella’s. Looking into an audio upgrade. Looking to do a reasonably priced system. Not looking to cut corners but also don’t want to waste a ton on unnecessary hardware.
Here is what I’m thinking
SD 400.4- bridged so should be 200rms.
GZ NEO yellow baskets.
Shop was pushing the SD 800.4 with a DSP. But this would be about $450 dollars more in hardware. Is it worth it. Is the DSP worth doing if I’m only pushing 200 watts? At some point you have to stick to a budget. I’d love to get away with $500 for the GZ’s and $250 for the amp. Another $250 for trays and wires. If I can get hardware for $1k and then just pay the flash and install. Ideally I’d be all in for around $1500 or less installed.
Does anyone think this is a good start. I’m not going to add anymore speakers. Am I close on my prices and does this requires a DSP? I hadn’t planned on that extra $300 price for one.
I feel like a 800.4 and a DSP will put me into another budget bracket, getting close to $2k, which is too rich for my blood.
I’m not an audio fanatic so I don’t want to be adjusting levels and freqs. Looking for a set and forget it option that will utilize the GZ’s even if it doesn’t completely work them to their limits.
Thanks

400.4 bridged to the GZ. Set gains using multimeter or osillicope to 26v. Set amp to HP and crossover to 80hz...that's a great 2 speaker set up, and no need for a DSP.

that was my experience with 200w to my GZ's loud but the highs were harsh af! I backed them down to 150w, I'm very happy now

Is a dsp required for a 2 speaker setup, no. I wouldn't give mine up, if you put a gun to my head, though.
If you truly will not add any more speakers, the 400.4 is fine. If it were my money, I'd do the 400.4 amp, GZ yellow baskets (not Neos) and a dsp. The Neos are twice the price and bring nothing more to the table, other than easier fit. The savings in speakers will damn near get you the dsp.
