Gen 6 Ipod Touch w/16gb going bad. I need something else, but hate to give $300 because music is all I use it for. I have more than 600 tunes, so I need at least 16gb. I don't wanna put them on my phone. I use it only on the bike, in the car, and maybe with ear buds in at home, and as I said, ONLY for music so I hate to give $295 for another Ipod. Any suggestions? Thx in advance.

 

Get you a usb stick and dowload the songs on it i have a 16 street glide special works great.

 

I picked up an old POS iPhone 5 on EBay and use it as a dedicated music player. Except in winter stays on bike connected 24/7.

 

I got a used 3rd or 4th gen 32gb iPod touch off of Ebay for less than $20. The thing I like about using the iPod is I can plug it up to my PC and create and edit playlists on it. Those playlists show up just fine on my head unit and I can change them around with the thumb controls.

 

I was in the same boat. I looked at other options and finally ponied up for another one. I use it all the time and it lasts for years so the incremental cost was minimal. I actually bought a second one because they were discontinued early summer and only available while supplies lasted.
