1995 FLHCTUI Radio/CB Radio problems
I hope this is the right forum.
I have a problem i cant seem to solve.
The radio on my 1995 electraglide ultra doesnt want to come on all the way. The lights behind the text turn on but the display and output dont come on. I am having the same problem with the CB radio thats in the same harness i believe. I have checked all fuses and they have continuity. Behind the fairing all of the connections have been cleaned and brushed. I found a few bad grounds that i replaced and i even ran a radio specific ground that some others on the forum recommended.
I have found a random blue/white stripe wire with a female spade connector on it just floating about in the fairing if that has anything to do with it. I cant seem to find its home.
Before it stopped working completely i had a problem where it would come on until the bike was running then stop working entirely. This may be related.
The last possibly helpful point is that the rear speakers are producing static. The static stops if you pull the radio fuse. They also pop when the brake is released.
I know its a long shot on a bike like this but i just wanted some guidance on what else to check.
