New to the audio world here. I have a friend that is upgrading his 2022 Road Glide CVO speakers and amp and wants to give me his oem take offs. Can I plug & play those 2022 speakers right into my 2018 Road Glige Ultra without any issues? Next question: Is that 2022 CVO amp with wire harness compatible with my 2018 head unit? Thank You for Your Thoughts!

 

The short answer is CVO/Boom 2 are way different than stock systems. They don't match well.
Please don't "upgrade" your bike with other Harley stuff.

 

As Shocker has mentioned, CVO audio is a different animal than your current factory set up. It sounds like it's free, so the price is right. It may or may not work, and it would be a fair bit of a hassle to probably install it, only to find out you can't get it to work. Not to mention the fact, that it is better than what you have, but not really much of an upgrade, kind of like the Rockford Fosgate systems, they are better than stock, but still mediocre at best.

My buddy has a 2016 Street Glide CVO and has 5-6 speakers replaced under warranty. Now his extended warranty has ended and another speaker has blown. The replacements are 300+. He loves my 1200 dollar system and will be installing Some GZ's and Mmats this winter.
