Default DSR1 preferred signal input

First off thank you for any help or direction. Picked up a DSR1 for a steal so decided to incorporate it into my install. Obviously it came with the input harness that accepts rca input from the head unit. DSR1 also will accepts hi level input so the question is what is everyone's preferred way to get signal from the stock 2021 RGS head unit to the DSR1? I see Rockford has the AHD2 harness but it seems overkill kinda. Regular LOC like a sni-35? Some other t harness? Seems like everyone makes an adapter so a ton of different ways to skin this cat. Gonna dig into the install later this week and try to make sure I got most everything on hand.

T- harnesses are great. A little pricy but worth it IMO. American Hardbag makes a good one. It takes speaker-level outputs from the HU and delivers them to the DSP via RCA. No LoC is required. Unless the amp or DSP will not accept it I would always recommend high-level inputs when using the factory HU as the fewer components in the signal path the better. If using an HU with RCA low-level outputs I recommend that method for the same reason (you are bypassing the internal amp on the HU and so have less components in the signal path).

I don't see any advantage of the American Hardbag harness at twice the price over the $80 Rockford AHD2 harness that plugs the HU high level right into the DSR1 unless I am missing something?

I mentioned the AHB harness as I've used it before, it works in pretty much any application where the amp can take high-level inputs on the RCA connections, and is of high quality.

I've not used the iDatalink T-harness (AHD2) before as I don't have a DSR1 but this harness looks like it'll do the job better for less so go for it.

I took a quick look at the installation guide for the AHD2 as I wasn't sure what the stock HU being put in "amplified mode" meant. Huh, you learn something new everyday.
