Cicada DSP88 looking good i think
i have a dayton 408 that’s like new. It was installed in the bike and started the tuning process with it but decided to use the ADdsp46 instead so it was taken out before it ever left the garage. Pm me if you’re interested in saving a few bucks over the cost of buying a new one

That's not exactly true. Yes flashing does get rid of the terrible eq curve harley builds into their HU, but DSP's are a separate tool and can or can not be used regardless of flash. And definately should be used in many systems, particulaly when using component speakers where you need to limit each speakers range. DSP's allow you to control what frequencies being pushed through each of your speakers.

You want to limit which freq ranges are allowed to play through each speaker type. You dont a mid range freq coming through a tweeter, or you dont want sub frequencies coming through a mid base speakers. Speakers wont last long that way.

I had a good flash, no dsp, and I was running an Arc 600.4, AD4000 components, and the same DB drives in my bags.....i got a lot of compliments on how good the bike sounded....some fellas who know a lot more about audio than I do tested it out, and had a really nice curve, no dsp

took out the 600 and the 4000's and replaced with two 720 amps and the new AD5000's, and added a DSP....I've gotten some feedback, from good honest folks....my prior system sounded cleaner

Yeah, but thats the difference in 800 dollar speakers versus us poor people's 300 dollar speakers. lol

Those ADs do sound really good!

But, a DSP will filter out what freq you dont really want coming through. Like those ear bleeding highs...lol

Same with our new system. Totally awesome, but we realized early in that the horns are too loud. AHB warned me that I may be calling them back. I called them last Friday and Jesse walked me through using the DSR1 app to turn down the horns, which softened the system overall and increased the heard base.

Simply power up, link phone or iPad to DSP, select the bands and adjust. Simple 5 minute process. I played with it a little and the wife and I picked the sweet spot. A little adjustment is all that was needed.

Front - DSR1
Rear - DD Audio DSI-2

Tried to run it all from the DSR1 but found the limitations frustrating so the fronts go to the DSR1 and the rears to the DSI-2. Working ok so far, have crossovers and gains set but feel like I need a tune...or tunes .
