Default Where do you get your Music?

I use my cell phone almost 100% of the time. I listen to the XM App and also Prime Music app. Used Spotify a while but ended up at Prime.

Where do you guys find the best quality music and do you down load to a thumb drive or IPod?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

All of these sources use compressed audio, so not sure what you mean by "best audio". If you are looking for something to make a personal playlist for, to put on something like a USB, or your phone, as long as you don't mind MP3, www.mp3million.com will get you pretty much any music you like.

I have Prime, XM app, and Spotify (wife and daughter use that)... I also use the Mixcloud app, they have DJ's and playlists for any genre that will put a smile on your face and it's free!

I purchase and download my MP3 music from Amazon. The files can be played on all devices and vehicles.

I put all my music on thumb drive and plug into radio.
Free music here, although sometimes difficult to D/L.

Okay to be clear I see many YouTube audio installers say to NOT use your cell phone when setting up and tuning a system. That is all I have to use at this time.

I assume because it is compressed?

Just trying to find the highest quality available for download and the best storage / playback source.

Maybe I am making too much of it. Just wanted to see what others may be using.

Thanks

All digital audio is compressed. Some file formats more so than others, but MP3 files played from a phone or a USB are going to sound the same. I suspect the recommendation to avoid the phone might have a caveat, i.e. don't use a phone to set up and tune if connected via Bluetooth. That will impact sound quality vs plugging the phone into USB or using a USB stick.

You'd have to have one heck of a set of ears ( Dumbo? ) to be able to notice a significant difference between compressed and lossless audio while riding down the road on your scooter ... Did you hear me? ;>)
