I just bought a 2018 SG standard and installed a boom 2 amp and speakers that I also bought used. How can I tell if the bike has been flashed? I can see the fade icon but don't see any difference when moving left/right. Stereo works but very low volume, factory system sounded louder. dealer is 4hrs away so looking for any suggestions. My old bike had the biketronics system with the BT355 (didn't have time to rip it out before insurance took it away),can I just get a new BT355 to improve volume or would the actual flash help(if it's not already there)?

 

The HU needs to be flashed for your specific Boom! configuration. That can be done by either a dealer or someone with access to a Technoresearch tool. The BT system used the 355 as an LOC which you needed with the aftermarket amp (the HU would also have been flashed for no amps). It won't be used with your Boom! II amp.

 

So that would cause the low volume?

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, without the proper flash the amps aren't in play.
