speakers quit after I washed bike
Hi,
New to the forum! apologize if someone else has asked this question already. I washed my '18 Ultra Ltd last Friday. I used a pressure washer and tried to use it mostly on the wheels and front of the bike where the bugs were the worst. I've watched several you tubes on washing Harleys and most used a pressure washer. I started it up to move it into the garage. I immediately started smelling a "burning wires" smell, and static just came out of the speakers. I shut it off immediately , and let it airdry. The next day, I started it up and the radio worked fine, no smell. I went on a ride and about 8 miles down the road, my speakers went out. I had a Rockford Fosgate 4 speaker system installed in 2018. I've never had any issues. I had a local stereo dealer install professional speaker connectors in the back so that I could remove the tour pack. I had the system originally installed at House of Harley, Milwaukee, labor day weekend 2018. They actually had Rockford techs there since it was a Harley rally weekend, in Milwaukee. I have an appointment at the local Harley dealer in Madison, where I live, this Friday. I'm praying that it's just a fuse or something minor. Have any of you experienced this before? My Harley head unit works fine, the Nav works fine, the Bluetooth ,etc. works fine. Just no sound out of the speakers.
Thanks!
